Have Courtney Teasley speak at your event! Attorney Teasley is passionate about teaching the community about their rights under the Constitution, especially as it relates to interactions with the police. Courtney Teasley has served as an Adjunct Professor for Tennessee State University teaching classes in American Legal Systems, Constitutional Criminal Law and Introduction to Corrections. Attorney Teasley has been the guest speaker at many college seminars which include: Fisk University, Tennessee State University, Middle TN State University and Western Kentucky University.


Courtney Teasley was the commencement speaker for the Stratford STEM Magnet High School's 2014 graduating class, where she delivered a speech via a poem she authored entitled "Do it for your M.I.N.D."( Mentally Initiate and Nurture your Dreams). She has served as the Mock Trial Coach for Stratford STEM Magnet High School, her alma mater, where they consistently won the Best Criminal Defense Attorney and Best Plaintiff Attorney awards. Courtney Teasley was the 2018 recipient of the Metro Nashville Public Schools Partnership of the Year award for her work as the Mock Trial coach for Stratford. Empowering the students to dream, far beyond their circumstances, is a personal mission for Courtney Teasley as she is a product of the community and had to use her M.I.N.D. to overcome her circumstances. Courtney Teasley is currently the chair of the NAACP Legal Redress Committee, chair of the Legal Committee for the National Action Network, chair of the Community Outreach committee for Napier Looby Bar Association, active member and fundraising co-chair for the Black Nashville Assembly, co-chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee for the Davidson County Democratic Party and chair of the Equality and Justice committee for the TN Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
